This 1955 Ford ambulance was purchased from the Clifton Springs Fire Department in September
1966 for $275. The unit was used for many years to transport firefighters and equipment to
emergency scenes. The ambulance was designated as 3261 and is still used for public relations
events today, although it is no longer used for any emergency response. During the mid 1980's this
unit was used in the feature film "The Lady in White" which had several scenes filmed in the town of
Phelps.
