This truck was purchased used for $8,500 from the Camillus Fire Department in Onondaga
County NY in 1994. This truck was a 1980 Ford with an automatic transmission, on board 5kw
generator and scene lighting. This truck was a vast improvement over the 1973 step-van that it
replaced. Not long after it's purchase, the fire department purchased hydraulic rescue tools
which were mounted on the rescue. The development of our Certified First Responder
program also made this truck the most used piece of apparatus in the fleet. In 2001, the
chassis would be sold and the rescue body would be placed on a 2001 Ford chassis.
